The Plural Association Nonprofit has the goal to empower Plurals. We do this by continuously finding ways to support DID Systems, OSDD Systems, and all other Plurals – no matter the words or labels they use, you use. We have an online community you can join for peer support, we organize virtual events, and there are over 250 free resources on this website alone.
10 free resources for new & questioning Systems
Maybe you are wondering am I plural? Is what I experience part of the Plural umbrella? Or maybe you already know for sure, but you have no idea where to start.
Hence, we have created this list with the top 10 resources for new & questioning Systems!
What is plurality?
Plurality simply means people who are Many. It is an umbrella term that people may use freely to self-identify with. It includes all sorts of people & experiences, including but in no way limited to how psychology explains multiplicity. Nor does it indicate how someone became Many or if they are disordered or disabled in any way. Plural is an identity, a community, an umbrella, a label. Not a level or destination to reach. The Plural Association (TPA) nonprofit defines plurals in its legal documents as ‘everyone who self-identifies as being or having more than one individual within a single body.’ However, it is important to note that both this website as well as TPA of course also welcome people who do not self-identify with the Plural label, and we will always be respectful and mindful of the language you and your system use. If you want to learn more about what Plurality is, please check out our extensive FAQ.

Working with Plurals?
If you work with Plurals and you are reading this, we know you want nothing but the best for the Many people you serve. That’s why, in direct response to our 2024 Plural Census, we created The Plural Competence Course. Developed with Katie Keech, Jamie Marich, Melissa Barsotti, and Ash Churdgar, alongside Plural community members and data from hundreds of Census participants, this course is for clinicians, social workers, and all others in helping professions who want to ensure the Plurals they work with feel seen, respected, and empowered from a place of true Plural Competence.
